Measures completed throughput during a defined period relative to the amount of work present at the beginning of that period.
Formula
BTR = (Total Items Completed During Measurement Period ÷ Opening Backlog) × 100
Report separately: Opening Backlog Clearance = 100%. BTR is an LIA-defined measurement, not an established industry standard.
